To this day, I don't even know what this movie was supposed to be about, I don't think the creators knew exactly. Oh yes, I realize it's a horror movie about a killer with a chainsaw. But should we root for the killer, be horrified, want the characters to live, or maybe just die? The devil only knows… Every moment of this movie feels tonally like it was taken from another movie and just pasted in anyway. One moment someone will throw in some comment that should show you something - "aren't influencers stupid people?", the next moment he seems to forget this and shows completely opposite things. The bottom line is, if you want to make a fun movie about a killer, please, but then don't throw in some of your philosophical lessons, or at least make them more interesting than a first-grade "we live in a society"…

Well, what the hell is wrong with those crazy names, there really was no other way but to name your film exactly like the original?. Well fu how disgusting, people tried and really put a lot of their talent into the first movie, it's not for nothing that this IP is so widespread and popular. And here came waffles from Netflix, hired a couple of teenagers from Tik Tok and can already hide any name on their movie. The movie doesn't deserve the name by any means, and the older versions of Chainsaw Massacre were also stupid and pretty bad. But they've always had this strange sense of sincerity, here it seems that the developers only read the WIKI article about what and how is going on and pulled everything else straight from behind.

You know, I can imagine the pain that those people who worked here on the selection of cameras and shots must have felt. Because if I'm being fair, some of the technical aspects are very well done, and even some of the deaths have a sharper frame than each other. So I imagine young people trying, but when they give you such stupid characters and story, it's just a pain. And the fact is that if you squint well, you can see the skeleton of a very easy and fast horror movie about the Texas killer, if only you threw out all the scenes that were supposed to be "cool" but looked stupid, shortened the movie and didn't make that tragically stupid ending, maybe you would have something. We all know that the monster in a horror movie doesn't get killed at the end, no matter how many bullets you fire, but when you're making a movie, you have to understand how stupid it looks to your audience. Every year, the vast majority of people know more and more about cinema and what constitutes a quality story, so such things that "slipped" in the 80s will not pass now...

Overall - 2/10
