Description: This story about a fearless pilot who has to destroy Saddam Hussein's nuclear weapons factory... This is interesting: This comedy, according to sharp tongues, is the mother of all movies. Here are "Blown by the wind", "Eight and a half weeks", and "Rambo",... and many other impressive parodies.
How fun it is to see the greats of old comedies, those actors who you immediately know when you see them, they will give a very spirited performance. They all seem to be just enjoying the movie and are about to fall on the floor laughing, giving the whole experience that "circle of friends" feel. And the story here doesn't let off the gas until the very end, both small, seemingly imperceptible jokes and big action scenes, everything here is meant to put you in a good mood. And I can say one thing, we got a very large dose of laughter and positivity while watching. Here, it might not be the case that you'll be holding your stomach laughing every few minutes. Maybe not, but I guarantee that the smile will not disappear from your face all the time.
I have to admit, I really like seeing stupid ideas with big budgets. So these old comedies are the same for me, so many actors and equipment that even the most stupid situation seems funny and impressively done. AND, very importantly, there isn't that much mediocre CGI used, so the movie still looks good after all these years. I can guarantee that when you open a Date Movie, you will immediately start to feel outdated computer effects or poorly constructed animations that immediately age the movie. That's what's important about creating stories like this, even now watching this movie 31 years after its release, you wouldn't really be able to tell that it was released before I hatched.
The film is definitely not perfect, it is very difficult to create a comedy that would be perfect, because everyone's humor is so subjective. The slowness of the film hinders the viewing the most, it is not too long, but some places may lull you if you watch the film in the evening. Also, I don't know if it's just our copy, but the sound is sometimes very poorly mixed and during the special effects it seems you can barely hear what someone is saying. Some of the film's attempts at being funny fail miserably and feel either ill-conceived or just plain shallow, but that's really a small part of the whole. But even with all the minuses, this is a classic film from the time when parodies were of good quality and... and... well, you know, funny, as they should be.Overall - 8/10
