Blood of Zeus

Description: A mere mortal living in ancient Greece, Heron discovers his true heritage as the son of Zeus and his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army. Whether everyone will stay on the same side of the battle until the end, or maybe the gods will decide to focus more on their intrigues than the impending disasters.

Overall, the technical quality here is really great. The voice actors do a really great job, the animation in many places looks smooth and has quite a lot of detail. There are a few worse places here and there, but this Netflix series is a nice snack that doesn't ask for too much.

So it's based on Greek mythology, and if you like that, great. However, the story tries to combine both myths and valuable moral lessons, so some scenes can seem like they are from another completely different opera. One second Zues is a super duper adulterer, and the next he's all about friendship and family-sacrificing father.

The titans and all the monsters look cool, but the ending seems very rushed. You get a few fight scenes and then it just kind of ends, so the whole journey to the finale is weirdly disappointing. The twists and turns of the story happen so fast that it feels like they tried to squeeze 4 episodes into 2.

Overall - 7/10
